STATISTICAL MODELS DEFINED BY SUFFICIENCY
Abstract: We conctruct statistical models by the assumption that certain statistics or
-algebras are sufficient for the model. This point of view has been developed especially by
Lauritzen and has led in connection with the notion of partial sufficiency to very interesting
characterization results of de Finetti type. In this paper we investigate some consequences for
the estimation and test theory of models of this type.
